Question  SRTmaster, an optimization software product for wastewater treatment, has proven itself a cost-saving tool.  Where are the market opportunities? 

wastewater treatment tankAnswer  In interviews with superintendents of wastewater treatment plants across the country, we saw a handful of early adopters leading the way in new technology development and adaption.  The majority, however, were motivated exclusively by avoiding violations and meeting minimum compliance criteria.

Key to SRTmaster's success would be inclusion in a government agency-sponsored incentive program for energy-saving technologies.  Bundling opportunities with hardware suppliers that benefit the most from energy-consumption reduction should also be pursued.
